Woven Church is a church of Home Groups, not a church with Home Groups

Home Groups is the biblical model described in the book of Acts. In Acts, we see the blueprint of the church and we know that the growth of church actually happened when groups of people would meet in homes. It was the foundation that became the inspiration for the growth and expansion of Christianity. At Woven, we meet with our Home Groups during the week to further walk with the community and to be woven into Christ, then come together on Sunday’s for our weekly worship celebration.

And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5:43

Home Groups offer

• An Environment to be WOVEN into Christ

In life we were never meant to do it alone. God created us for community, and Home Groups connects with others, shares life, and it is a place where we grow in faith together. However, it is not just a place that connects us to each other but ultimately it must connect us to Jesus Christ. 

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

• An Environment to be WOVEN into LOVE

Home groups desires to create authenticity by loving as Jesus loved. Jesus encouraged, he was accountable, he has compassion, he met the needs of people, he healed, and ultimately gave himself up for us. Home groups is a time of sharing about what is happening in your life and knowing that you have a community that will support you in your spiritual journey. 

This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that somebody lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12-13

• An Environment to be WOVEN to GROW

The Christian walk is about maturing and growing. We grow when we are rooted in Christ and are encouraged by others to know our destiny that God has marked out for us. Home groups are a place where you can grow with others to become more like Christ and truly live out the calling that God has placed in you. 

So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and be carried about y every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking in the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. Ephesians 4:14-15
